I can't believe how ridiculously easy it is to make your own hemp milk. I had been putting off trying it, but it took no time at all.
What You'll Need:
1 cup hemp seeds
2 cups water
2 tsp vanilla extract (or 1 tablespoon maple syrup (your choice))
pinch sea salt if you so desire
cheese cloth or nut-milk bag for straining
Throw everything into a high powered blender, like the Vitamix and blend for 60-90 seconds.
Place a cheesecloth or nut-bag into a pitcher and pour mixture through the bag, squeezing out the milk.
I poured mine into a cute glass milk jar. It will store in the fridge for 3-4 days. I will admit that it is definitely not as sweet or smooth as the store bought kind I am used to, but with no iffy ingredients I think I can get used to the change.
